Camp Fire USA has entered the Electronic Age.  You can now order materials, uniform items, even candy (!) on-line directly from National.  If you can’t wait for the candy sale in the spring, or if we missed you, here’s your chance to have it when you want it.  A small percentage of your purchase will benefit our council.

Just go to:  www.campfireusa.org where you will find links to catalog items and candy, as well as program and teen oriented sites.

Camp Fire will celebrate 100 years in 2010.
Plan to join us in our celebrations!

Camps have always been Camp Fire members’ strength, our common connector.  Locally, Camp Takimina has been influential in many lives, in and out of Camp Fire.  Thousands of youth have enjoyed Camp Takimina in the past 47 years!  It is a wonderful community resource.

We have been an all-volunteer led council since 1993.

Facilities
Maintenance and repairs at camp are ongoing.  Camp was purchased in 1960 and the lodge was completed in 1968.  As you can imagine there are structural issues to assess.


 

Camp Fire is a wonderful informal learning experience for all ages, short term or year 'round.  We hope you'll join us to share what you have learned, or to learn more!
